We had our first visit to heartlands recently. It has been open for a few months but we have only just made it up there. There are lots of things going on there like workshops, art and crafts and tours around the old mines but we just managed to spend 6 and a half hours on the adventure playground. It was a brilliant day, Faith was doing what children should - playing - and me and Roghan were snuggling on the grass. About halfway through the day some friends of ours who we haven't seen in a very long time turned up unexpectedly so we had a really lovely afternoon catching up while the kids ran wild!
Did I mention that its free?!
