true story

Oh I'm so cute and sweet, feel free to look away now and I'll just lie here, I won't do anything at all, a face this cute is not capable of mischief.

Whats this green stuff though? Ooo, it feels nice its all cold and tickly, I wonder what will happen if I grab it...

... a-ha, it comes out. I wonder how it tastes...?

(insert cookie monster style noises here)

mmm, mud... I wonder if mum's noticed yet...

...oh, yes,  she has. Act natural...!

What... this?! Naw, it's not mud, this is just the colour of my face mum, honest.

propped up

Roghan is reaching the stage where he really wants to be sitting up and doing things but he can't yet so he is being propped up with cushions and blankets and things. He's ok for about 30 seconds and then slowly tips over to the side still happily chewing on whatever he's managed to get his hands on! Very sweet and very funny.

this moment

Inspired by Soulemama, a moment to pause and remember.

I don't usually write anything for a this moment post but I just want to remember these two lovely boys, they have been great friends living together for years and very soon they are going to different homes. This is one of the last days they will spend together. Bon voyage and good luck to Midge and Red in your new lives.

yarn along

Joining in with the yarn along this week.

The purple in the first picture is a birthday present for a friend of mine, a crocheted scarf, look here for the post I did on how to make it. The second picture is the pair of fingerless gloves I'm making for myself, I've adapted them quite a bit from the pattern. I kept the same colour work but made them shorter, changed the colouring around the fingers and didn't do individual fingers. I got the first one done and probably would be much further on the second if I hadn't got completely distracted by these books!

I started reading twilight by Stephanie Meyer on Saturday and I finished that one and am already  nearly halfway through the second in the series, new moon.I never got into the vampire thing when it started and I haven't seen any of the films, I was sceptical when I was given these books by a friend but, oh boy, they are sooo good. I am completely captivated and any second I can possibly get I have my nose in the book - stirring dinner, feeding roghan, when I should be sleeping etc... If you haven't tried them I would fully recommend that you do. Maybe by next week I'll have read the 4 books and will have done some more knitting!

This week has been, baby swimming, rides in the car, make believe, finding love, exploring, creating, painting, stroking, candle making, and beautiful blooming spring.

spring table

When the weather started to warm up a little we put a little potted iris on top of our seasons table with the idea that when it flowered it would be time to change to a spring seasons table. Well, it flowered yesterday, so despite it being a little early we have changed to spring and it looks so lovely and cheery at the top of the stairs.

Happy spring time to all!
