yarn along

I haven't made it to the yarn along for a while but I have been knitting away.

I have done this fair isle hat for Roghan which I will share more of when I have done the mittens that go with it. It is from the book called Fair Isle basics and beyond.

I am also working on this jumper for Faith and it is very hard to photograph and show the cabling. It is from this pattern. I especially like the detachable sleeves.
 .

Also I have been knitting a teeny tiny cardigan, see this post from a couple of days ago.

I just recieved my very first issue of living crafts magazine and it is such a lovely read, I think Faith has her eye on one of the lavender bunnies in this issue. I have also been reading 'how to talk so kids will listen and listen so kids will talk' it approaches parenting from a kind, trusting and respectful perspective. A really encouraging read for creating peace in your home.

  2. Oh those are both beautiful! And look incredibly difficult! I haven't done cables before. It is something that I hope to start at some point...and the colorway knitting...hmmm...not sure I could handle that. Maybe when my kids are a little older and I don't have to worry about setting my knitting down :-)

  14. Fair isle nicely done! Your cable work is coming out nicely too. Are you using key rings for stitch markers?

  15. what a talented knitter you are. I got a chance to look around a bit and you have a lovely family and a comforting way of looking at life. I hope to offer up a pattern for the slippers, Im just afraid it will be too confusing. Thanks for stopping by.
